Group “Ё”

Group “Ё” is a Russian rock band where long-standing friendship, deep poetry, and exceptional musical craftsmanship come together in a single creative space. Since 2018, the band has entered a new stage in its development, bringing together well-known and highly experienced musicians from the Russian rock scene while preserving the sincerity and unique artistic style that define the group’s identity.

At the heart of the band lies the creative partnership of Igor Meshcherin and Mikhail Dodonov - best friends since their school years, who have spent decades creating the lyrics, ideas, and philosophy behind “Ё.” Although Mikhail Dodonov is currently unable to perform on stage due to health reasons, he remains a full member of the band and an essential part of the creative process. Their shared vision became the foundation of the sound and atmosphere of Group “Ё.”

The musicians describe their style as “intensive roadwing” - a combination of powerful rock sound, emotional lyricism, and the energy of large concert stages. For the members of the band, music is not simply a profession, but a way to honestly communicate with listeners through songs, stories, and emotions.

The current lineup of Group “Ё” brings together respected musicians from the Russian rock scene:

Igor Meshcherin - vocals, guitar, founder, and the main voice of the band.

Pyotr Mikov - guitarist and former member of the bands “Konets Filma” and “Nikolai Kopernik.”

Alexey Malyarov - bass guitarist, conservatory graduate, and former collaborator with “Chicherina” and “Konets Filma.”

Sergey Sozinov - drummer who worked on Zemfira’s early albums and collaborated with “Chicherina” and “Yuta.”

Dallatar - cellist responsible for the atmospheric and deep sound of the group.

Anastasia Pyshnaya - violist known for her work with the band “Marco Polo.”

The music of Group “Ё” is built on personal experiences, life stories, and genuine emotions. Many of the band’s songs are autobiographical. One of the group’s most notable tracks is “Train to Leningrad,” which resonated strongly with listeners thanks to its sincerity and emotional depth.

The ideas and lyrics created by Igor Meshcherin and Mikhail Dodonov are transformed through the work of the entire band into large-scale rock releases, including the single “Old School” and the album “Accept Her as She Is.”

Group “Ё” continues to actively evolve and strengthen its place within the Russian rock scene. Important milestones in the band’s history include winning the “YLETAЙ-2024” festival and receiving the Russian Music Box Award, both of which confirmed the relevance and growing recognition of the group’s music.

The main message that Group “Ё” brings to its audience is to remain true to yourself, value the people close to you, and preserve the spirit of true rock brotherhood.

The band’s future plans include new releases, live performances, and creative collaborations that will continue the development of the group and open a new chapter in its history.
