Full information

My name is Artyom Popov, and I am a pop-rock songwriter for whom music has become a way to speak to the world honestly and without masks. I come from the Kursk region, and from an early age I felt a strong attraction to words, meanings, and emotions, which eventually grew into a deep interest in poetry and music.

Travel plays an important role in my life. For me, it is not just about changing cities, but about feeling life in its fullest form. A special place in my heart belongs to Saint Petersburg — a city whose history, architecture, and atmosphere inspire me deeply and create a strong sense of connection with the past and with something truly meaningful.

A separate and significant theme in my life and creativity is my love for war poetry. This is not a hobby, but a form of memory and respect for those who gave — and continue to give — the most precious thing they have. Through such texts, I try to comprehend the strength of the human spirit, resilience, and the capacity for self-sacrifice.

Music entered my life during its most difficult period — while serving in the army and later during treatment in a hospital. Pain, loneliness, and inner struggles became the starting point for my first lines. Those texts were a cry from the soul, an attempt to escape darkness and preserve hope. Over time, the words found their melody, and music became my way of sharing lived experiences, speaking about pain, love, and faith. The support of my family played a crucial role in this journey, helping me stay strong and continue creating.

I work in the pop-rock genre, finding in it the perfect balance between emotional depth and melodic accessibility. This style allows me to express a wide range of emotions — from bright joy to deep inner experiences — while remaining understandable and close to listeners of different generations. It is important to me that my music resonates and becomes part of the personal story of everyone who hears it.

I emphasize that I am a songwriter: I write lyrics and music, putting personal experience and emotions into each piece while leaving space for interpretation. I do not impose a fixed meaning — every listener is free to find something of their own in my songs.

Music for me is not a profession, but a beloved hobby and an essential part of life. It is a way to express feelings, give rest to the soul, and continuously grow creatively. My music is heartfelt, sincere, and emotional.

My musical taste and sound have been influenced by artists such as Yuriy Shatunov, Sergey Lazarev, and Eva Vlasova. I admire their sincerity, emotional openness, and their ability to combine simplicity with depth.

I usually work on songs at home, in a calm and comfortable environment. Creating one track can take anywhere from a week to several months, depending on mood, inspiration, and the complexity of the idea. The process begins with an inner impulse: first a thought or image is born, then the lyrics, and finally the melody that enhances the emotional message.

Among my most meaningful works, I highlight the following compositions:

  • “Oboyan. Forever in My Heart” — a song dedicated to my hometown, filled with deep personal attachment;
  • “A Letter to My Mother” — a sincere and emotional confession to the dearest person in my life;
  • “Why Did They Invent Love?” — a philosophical reflection on complex feelings;
  • “Angels Do Not Die” — a track written spontaneously but which became an important part of my creative path;
  • “Revelation of the Heart” — one of my most personal works, the meaning of which I intentionally left open for the listener.

Although my songs have not yet been played on radio, I see this as a dream and an important goal. For me, radio is not just airplay, but recognition of effort and an opportunity to share music with a wider audience.

I value feedback greatly and consider honest responses from listeners an essential part of my growth. Through music, I strive to inspire people, help them get through difficult moments, and find inner harmony. Even in sad songs, I see light — support, understanding, and hope.

Today, I continue working on new compositions and plan to move further toward a more rock-oriented sound, expanding the boundaries of my music and strengthening its emotional and energetic impact.
