After school, Roman was drafted into the army and served in a hot spot in the North Caucasus, where he encountered the reality of war, fear, and courage. This experience left a deep mark on his life.

After the army, he lived for a time in St. Petersburg, where he first tried his hand as a DJ, immersing himself in the nightlife and music scene. He later moved to Tambov, his parents' hometown, where he married and had a son, Denis, in 2004.

In 2008, Roman enlisted again—in a special forces unit, where he participated in another military conflict. Returning home, he faced the breakdown of his marriage. During this difficult period, he met Olga, who helped him raise his son, although she did not share his musical aspirations.

With the start of a special military operation in 2022, Roman volunteered for the front, where he received the call sign "Aramis." It was there, amidst combat, that he began writing poetry—honest, harsh, and profound. These lines became a way for him to preserve his memories and feelings, and their sincerity quickly resonated with his comrades—the poems were copied and passed from hand to hand.

After being seriously wounded and hospitalized, Roman decided to radically change his life. He broke up with Olga and devoted himself entirely to music. He recorded his first songs literally "on the fly," using a laptop and whatever was at hand, but soon realized that this approach did not convey the energy of life. He then turned to musician friends, who helped him record live instruments and perform his songs. Thus, the musical project Avdushin was born, becoming a platform for expressing his inner world. His songs, born on the front and imbued with personal meaning, were first heard among soldiers and later found their way to a wider audience.

Today, Avdushin is more than just a platform; it's a full-fledged label, production center, and creative family, uniting artists whose songs are born from genuine emotions, pain, and lived experience.

Roman not only performs his own songs but also produces. His first experience was working with a young singer, with whom he recorded an album and shot two music videos. After parting ways, he began collaborating with Milana, a talented vocalist and songwriter.

They met with a short video where Milana sang without posing or false notes. Roman was struck by her sincerity and proposed a collaboration. They are currently working on several songs; Milana's debut track, which Roman considers especially important, has already been released. They also released three tracks in which they performed Roman's songs as a duet.

In addition, through the Avdushin label, Roman helps frontline songwriters—those who write songs on the front lines but lack the technical or production capabilities to bring them to the world. Among them are Ivan Ushkov, Alexander Makarov, Sergey Lobanov, and others.

Roman sees his mission not only in releasing music, but also in preserving the voices of people who lived through the war—feelings that shouldn't be forgotten.
