The legendary Tatu duo, which conquered the world charts in the early 2000s, has announced its reunion.

Yulia Volkova posted a joint photo with Lena Katina on social media, captioning it: “A lifelong journey… And once again we are walking the same road, confidently and only forward.” This post was the first official confirmation of the reunion of the group, which broke up in 2011 after a high-profile conflict between the soloists.

Recall that Tatu (or t.A.T.u.), created in 1999, conquered the Russian pop scene and world charts with such hits as “Nas Ne Dogonyat” and “All The Things She Said”. Despite the breakup of the group, the artists briefly resumed their collaboration several times - the most striking were their performances at the opening of the Olympics in Sochi in 2014 and in St. Petersburg in 2023 before the start of a football match. In 2022, there was a one-time reunion of the duo at a concert in Minsk after a nine-year break.

In April 2024, Lena Katina spoke openly about the period of cooling in her relationship with Volkova. According to her, the girls had different perceptions of the world and approaches to work. However, apparently, they managed to overcome their differences.

The famous singer Sergey Lazarev was also happy about the reunion. He left a comment under the post. "It's high time," the artist wrote.

Fans of the group, whose songs have become the soundtrack of an entire generation, are looking forward to new performances of the duo. So far, one concert of the reunited duo has been announced: on July 19, 2025, the group "Tatu" will perform in Yalta on the beach of the hotel "Mriya".

Former concert director of the pop group "Tatu", producer Leonid Dzyunik said that the ex-soloists of the group Yulia Volkova and Elena Katina united for a one-time performance with a large fee. According to Dzyunik, it is unlikely that we are talking about a full-fledged reunion. The producer noted that the artists have no other reasons for working together, except for a large fee.

"They may not perform certain songs in public. At corporate events, I believe, everyone will sing," the former director of the group added.
