Joe Bonamassa Releases Lead Single from New Album “Breakthrough”

Joe Bonamassa has released a new single, “Breakthrough” (listen to the song).

It’s an inspiring song about inner growth, overcoming difficulties, and letting go of the past.

“Breakthrough” will be the title track of the upcoming album of the same name, which will be released on July 18. According to the musician, the record will be the boldest and most genre-diverse release in his entire long career. The work on the album was carried out in Greece, Egypt, Nashville, and Los Angeles.

“Breakthrough marks a shift in Joe Bonamassa’s musical creativity,” said producer Kevin Shirley. “While there are plenty of guitar solos, the main emphasis is on the lyrics. The record is a musical journey around the world: from Little Feat-style funk and Texas swing to hard rock and acoustic compositions in the spirit of classic singer-songwriters."
